There are so many different types of treatments to choose from!  Many have been shown to work well for a variety of people.  At the same time, each person is unique.  If there were a miracle treatment out there that worked for everyone, we’d all be using it!

With that said, my approach to therapy is person-centered which empowers you to be seen and heard for your experiences and who you are.  I believe our relationship is at the heart of therapy and I tend to focus on emotions over thoughts or behavior (although they all go together!). 

I have been specifically trained to use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Mindfulness Based Counseling.  I balance creating an environment where you have choices with giving you structure, education, and feedback along the way.
